Nice Gigapan iMPREPREX. This is Z-axis-eye-candy for sure. The low sun angle offers some extraodinary detail of the surface textures, even in the drift surface. Here's an anaglyph version that retains the full resolution of the MC100 channel (9381x4507px). Naturally the MC34 left channel gets blurry at higher zoom levels but the lighting immersion makes up for it. The thin wafer jutting out from the rock towards the lower left of center is especially interesting to ponder.

With respect, these images weren't just released today; I'm pretty sure it must just be because Joe updated his site.

Ah, you are correct - I had forgotten he was going to do that (I read too much into the "Released:" date). Oops.

Speaking of scenic MAHLI shots, here's a crop from the Sol 85 self-portrait, showing the familiar sight of Aeolis Mons and the dunes. http://www.pictureshack.us/images/93404_s85_big_stitch.jpg
Near the centre of the mosaic Shaler outcrop can be seen, I believe. -------------------- Curiosity rover panoramas: http://www.facebook.com/CuriosityRoverPanoramas
