I wonder how that stuff survived the impact...
Anyway, another HiRise Pic: Stratigraphy of Mawrth Vallis Crater (PSP_006821_2045) http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/PSP_006821_2045 Lizardskin texture near Mawrth vallis. Notice the the bright/dark pattern is inverted in the bottomhalf of the picture. |
