The program and abstracts for LPSC 2-19 are now out:
https://www.hou.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2019/program/ Lots of great stuff including feature names around Insight (it landed in Homestead Hollow), the Chandrayaan 2 landing site - gasp, I have barely even begun to dig into it. See some of you there! Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

Do any UMSF members going to LPSC this year want to meet up? I think it was the 2004 meeting and several of us - Emily Lakdawalla, cosmic rocker, volcanopele and a couple of others got together. I've hardly posted in the group but was an early member (# 58 ?) under my previous user name Pete B.
Thanks. |

I'm really sorry I did not see this last post until after the conference. Let's try to do this next year.

I'm really sorry I did not see this last post until after the conference. Let's try to do this next year. Phil Thanks. You never know how things will work out. I got sick and missed all of the Wed and Th talks but made it to the Th poster session, but didn't get to your poster until after you left. Did get to meet with some friends from Goddard that I retired from several years ago, and went to the Bennu, , Hyabusa 2, Insight and Ultima Thule sessions. Hopefully, I'll be there again next year and will post something about a meetup earlier than the Friday before the conference. :-) Cheers PB |

Meanwhile, in the 'be there or be square' category of posts, here are two pics from the LPSC posters:
Justin's lovely HRSC image of Mars: And yours truly with the OrbitBeyond (AKA Team Indus) lander model. Memo to self - suck gut in more strenuously next time. Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.
