Seems to cover the basics for us boneheads - only thing missing is a cut out paper model of the spacecraft!  (Or is that more of a JPL style thing?)

I've put together a New Horizons paper model. It's at http:\\ucsu.colorado.edu\hoxie

Have fun...

Phil,

2.1 meter HGA diameter.

X band.

10 Gb of data back to Earth at 768 bps. You can do the math! The lossless
compression is near 1.8:1.

Hi Alan-
I've been doing some research for a paper model of New Horizons and saw in an old paper that it may be able to use the second half of the redundant radio system to double the data rate. Any truth to this?

See you in Fl,
Vaughn
