Great mosaics, jvandriel.
I'm disappointed by the low rocks density, except from amazing small boulders on these small hills ![]() -------------------- I always think before posting! - Marco -

Here is jvandriel's new pan in a polar version. The descent is certainly a lot faster than the ascent...

QUOTE (dilo @ Nov 19 2005, 05:12 PM) Great mosaics, jvandriel. I'm disappointed by the low rocks density, except from amazing small boulders on these small hills ![]() Dilo, yes, that zone is coverd by sands and dust. Between stones or rocks looks well covered. Now I see more or less orderly the direction of most stones that goes from the top of East to down on West side along the terraces. From the rover to Home Plate there are many terraces. These might be stratified land caused probably by the *uphil* land caused by the impact of some meteoro on somewhat soft land (volcanic land). Another possibility is these terraces are marked by the *water erosion* when it was dried out. Rodolfo |

Great, Nico
![]() On Sol670, Spirit is going away from Home plate! ![]() The leftmost panorama portion strongly recalls the memorable "selfportrait" picture, so I decided to project it in a different way: -------------------- I always think before posting! - Marco -
