This article at Universe Today mentions a tool called Dreamscape that Doug used to make his Colombia Hills landscape. I hadn't heard of this, so I searched online and got 1,860,000 hits. Dreamscape is a very popular word. smile.gif

But what is the software and what can it do?

It's a plugin for 3ds max

I used it for the illumination, clouds, and haze. The terrain itself was produced out of Vray - and held together by 3ds max.
