Update to sol 1999 (sol 2002). The next drive is just a few hours away and is planned to be about 50m. Will Curiosity leave Torridon?
This update also includes the location data from PDS Release 17. This means the path data for sols 0-1877 and Analyst's Notebook data for sols 1-1869. Fernando The_Martian_Way_MSL_Curiosity_Sol_1999_2018MAR25.kmz ( 619.55K ) Number of downloads: 195 |

The 2003 drive faulted out but 2004 recovered it. Please don't go any further north! ... or I will have to extend my base map again. This location should be fairly good but the path may be edited later.

Hi Phil,
The path is a bit more to the west and has a sharp right (east) turn at the end, so perhaps no more going north. Curiosity is now about 15m into quadrant 119. Might a new name announcement be imminent (hint, hint)? Fernando Edit: the path has been corrected. See Post #1162 |

Please don't go any further north! According to the projected path here, we're at pretty much as far north as was planned, so if plans don't change you may be in luck Phil... |

3 Mars years! And another drive on sol 2007 - this is a quick update and may need editing a bit.

We moved east on sol 2009, up to a small scarp which I assume is the contact between the lower and upper sections of the ridge - we have seen it several times as we zig-zagged over the ridge. The lower ridge has the stronger hematite signal in CRISM data. It took me a while to find this spot because I thought we had moved further south. I needed a full panorama to make it work.
