I was born in Belgium in 1957 (from a Belgian father and an American mother).
This was thanks to the first time I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey back in 1968, followed by the promises of the Moon. One weakness was my dislike for maths, which led to human science studies (law and a specialization in insurance). I've been working since 1982 in the insurance world. But the real interest has always been space and in 1994, I joined an astronomy club in Brussels. I became its president in 1999 and , with a bunch of friends, several ETX90 telescopes and 20x80 binoculars, we regularly go to a small road, away from any light, and enjoy stargazing whenever opprtunities allow for it.
Since 1997, I've been using the internet to gather more and more information about space related discoveries, issues and to make friends from all over the world! We share the same passion for space and it's great! |
