Hi team,
not sure what is happening, but when I enter the UMSF home page, it keeps refreshing every couple of seconds The only way I can break the loop is if I quickly click on 'new posts' or similar. Running IE9. Any thoughts? |

I'm afraid the issue is probably local to your computer.
I've checked across all the browsers I have access to and I see no similar symptoms whatsoever. On a Mac : Chrome (31.0.1650.63) Safari (6.0.2) and Firefox (10.0.11) On a PC : IE (10.0.11) Firefox (26) and Chrome (31.0.1650.63) |

Yep, no obvious problems here, either, using Chrome 31.0.1650.63 m on a PC running Win7.

Everything seems to works as usual with Chrome 31.0.1650.63 m and IE 8.0.6001.18702IS under Win XP SP3, even with very old age (of 2004) proprietary browser software using IE engine.

Easy fix. Just toggle the ESC button. Stops the page refresh.
btw, the refresh only happens on the 'home page', once you are in a forum, everything is fine. Also only happens with UMSF. |

Very bizarre. I never had any problem like this refresh thing in all my years on the forum - until today - on two different computers. It seemed to be OK when I was logged out, bad when logged in. Nice to have the Escape key fix.

I went into my Control Panel to set my local time.
For a while now, the refresh homepage was in full swing. I set my time base to local (Perth) and wallah, problem gone. I will monitor... |

I had the refresh problem in IE for a year, so used other browsers for it. But this week, it's gone.

How do I stop this?
I've tried so many tips found on net but nothing works. Oddly it only happens with this site on main forum page. |

I had the same problem in 2014. Likely a new version of Firefox made it go away.
