Unmanned Spaceflight.com _ LRO & LCROSS _ Moon Zoo - now in beta

Posted by: NGC3314 Mar 15 2010, 03:55 AM

From some of the people who brought you Galaxy Zoo - it's just been announced that http://moon.zooniverse.org/ is ready for beta testing and comment. Use LRO imagery from the PDS to mark craters for statistics, note boulder fields leading to regolith depth, and find all manner of other interesting things. Another application so that we galaxy folks don't have quit all the fun...

And it's now ready for prime time - http://www.moonzoo.org/ is open for regular business. Crater counts, regolith depth from blockiness, flag oddities. No button for black monoliths with sides 1:4:9, though.
