QUOTE (nogal @ Dec 8 2018, 03:29 AM) *
Update to sol 2252.
This update includes the location data from PDS Release 19. The path data for sols 0-2166 has been reviewed and updated as well as Analyst's Notebook data for sols 1-2127.

Thanks Fernando, I realise how much work you put into the PDS updates smile.gif

Thank you Paul. I have created a workflow which saves me time and provides consistency. But then there is the verification part that sometimes is, as with this release, easy, which is why I managed to do it sooner. smile.gif

Sol 2255, we moved about 15 m east (and a bit south), looking for a good spot to drill.

Update to sol 2257. Hopefully "the hunt for Red Jura" will be successful here!

Looks like we are ready to move again, so it's time for a map update in preparation.

Here is an overview of the recent drilling campaign from Duluth to Rock Hall on Vera Rubin Ridge:

And this is a close-up of the Highfield-Rock Hall area. If it seems too name-heavy, it's because many of the names will be moved to closeups of the science sites when the target location data hit PDS.

Off we go, and it's time for a new close-up route map of the ridge exit area. Paul's half panorama helped me find the location. The sky is a lot dustier now than it was just a couple of weeks ago.

A short drive to the south on sol 2298, about 10 m.

Sorry, folks, I seriously misjudged the last position. I was too hasty with very preliminary information. The drive was more like 35 m SE, followed by about 25 m on sol 2299. Good progress through this tricky landscape.

Update to sol 2300.
Lots of new names, courtesy of Phil, and the 20km mark is already on the rear mirror!

A quick update to sol 2300, when we had a short drive to the east for some weekend work on the outcrop, presumably. I will add the 20 km marker next time.

A short drive on sol 2304. If I read the status reports properly, this was cut short, a 15 m drive stopping after about 6 m.

Sol 2306, up to the top of the ridge for a look around. As suspected, the previous drive was cut short.

Update to sol 2306.Slightly adjusted the point of view. It encompasses a little over one Earth year of Curiosity's activities.
She is really climbing Mt. Sharp!

Thanks, Nogal, it's really useful.

Here is a map update to sol 2309, a nearly 20 m drive down the slope of the ridge and then turning northeast.
