I just wanted to pass along thanks from JunoCam team member Candy Hansen, who was thrilled to see people here working with the Moon images so quickly. She would like to post the images that get posted here to the missionjuno website. I told her that most people at UMSF would be thrilled to see their work posted there. But if for any reason you would not like your versions of JunoCam images reposted to the missionjuno website, please make that clear when you post them.
In general, of course, copyright to image processing work posted here remains with the processor, and permission should be asked before reposting; if that's news to you, read more about copyright and NASA data here. -------------------- My website - My Patreon - @elakdawalla on Twitter - Please support unmannedspaceflight.com by donating here.

At least this is the best time to have a safe mode; practically no signal delay.

Signal delay isn't really a significant contributing factor to the processing of understanding, crafting and testing commands to resolve, and fixing a safe-mode entry.
However - you can get significantly higher downlink rates from omnidirectional antennas at these sorts of couple-hundred-thousand-mile ranges. THAT can help a lot. |

Yes, I was thinking of that too. Avoiding the agony of the Galileo scenario, etc.
Meanwhile, a few pictures are up (of, not from, Juno). http://spaceweathergallery.com/index.php?title=juno |

There are a couple of Earth images up now. Unfortunately we had a lot of dropouts in the downlink that will have to be recovered later; it should all still be there but you'll have to be patient.

Does receiving images mean Juno is out of safe mode?

Does receiving images mean Juno is out of safe mode? If it can send images, I don't care if it's in safe mode or not. -------------------- Disclaimer: This post is based on public information only. Any opinions are my own.

I've put the partial image for efb09 (ch4) out on the website. I wish I had some RGB images people could play with, but there are too many drops in them so far to be of much use.
