I was browsing around for models of the rovers and found this:
http://www.modelenium.co.uk/models/ModelDetail.asp?PC=H4601 Only 20 £ and it is the perfect gadget for us MER fanatics -------------------- "I want to make as many people as possible feel like they are part of this adventure. I think it's 1/18
So that will be about 9-10 cm long. Perfect for roving my desktop -------------------- "I want to make as many people as possible feel like they are part of this adventure. We are going to give everybody a sense of what exploring the surface of another world is really like"

There's a slightly bigger picture available on the manufacturer's website:

Looks like a great model! FYI, for anyone interested in buying one and shipping to the US, the manufacturer offers shipping at £12.00. I haven't been able to find a US distributor yet.
Oh, and the manufacturer says the model has not been released yet. I have an order in!! -------------------- Jonathan Ward

Wow - a lot cheaper than the one that was around a year or so ago - that was almost $100. Looks very nearly as good as well

There is also a LEGO version, but I think it's no longer available. I seem to remember a MER kit for the LEGO Mindstorms Robotics System, but can't find a trace of it... -------------------- --O'Dave

I saw on my online bank statement today that Modelenium has charged my account for the MER model - so that must mean that it has been released! Just in time for Christmas!!!!

Ilbasso: Where will you put it?
It would be much funnier if it is operated by RC so you can simulate on how far is the MER offroad capabilities. Just as a dream Rodolfo |
