FLOSS Weekly (Video podcast)
Free Libra Open Source Software (Video podcast) Host: Randal Schwartz interviews Rover Drivers Scott Maxwell and Paolo Bellutta This weekly video podcast is primarily about software programming, not the exploration of Mars. I didn't notice any significant new scientific information. The host had written a number of books about the Perl programing language. There was a lot of talk about Perl programs. It meant little to me. However, I think that a number of UMSF members are familiar with open source, and perl. The interviews were conducted over video Skype. This is a recording of the unedited live session. You may notice that the show "introduction" actually occurs after Scott Maxwell and Paolo Bellutta have completed the interview. When, or if, the edited version becomes available I will try and provide a link. FLOSS 119 The Mars Rover Drivers (unedited version) (MP4) (86 MB) (55 min.) Scott mentioned something about the new mission extension not being "to the level they wanted." Any further details on this?
