Rev 158: Titan and Tethys mutual. I seem to have my north pointing down but I'm having a hard time getting the same configuration as is shown in the SSS. Lots of manipulation to get even this mediocre attempt.

now i do still need to update the cassini pointing and rotation kernels
but the location should be within about 1 km using the predictive kernel

Hack of full image from the back side of Titan using multiple layers and channel blends to try to create a full mosaic where only RED filtered data was fully there:

In this image, only the right hand half is true RGB the rest is colorized (some with one channel, some with two).
Here is a crop only showing where correct RGB exists:

Sorry it got hacked off there. CIRS I believe was scanning at the time... I didn't realize it was scanning that fast. There is another set outbound you can try as well.

I apologize about this because some of these didn't come out right. This was the first work I had to do as the new ISS Titan PDT (pointing design) and IOI (file that sets filters and exposure times to be used at what time) designer, literally a day or so after I took over the position. I'm trying hard to incorporate more RGB sequences where time and data volume allow. I hope to include at least one set inbound and another outbound (using the WAC).

Geez, Jason, you should have got it right; it's not like this is rocket science. Oh wait....it is rocket science. smile.gif Glad to have you at the controls!

Adiri is well seen in Mike's WAC view above and in W0071055 taken on Dec 13 from about 37k Km. That image allows some comparison with those taken back in January (1/15/2011) http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA12819 by the NAC from a greater distance. Different cameras, camera angles and lighting and manipulation of the recent raw image all considered, the white spots of Adiri nevertheless appear to be fading with time.
