Very intriguing - the 'F-ring' orbits and proximal orbits will no doubt illuminate these processes in more detail during the twilight of the mission, commencing November 2016.
F-ring orbits are slated at around 150,000km from the centre of Saturn, which puts the spacecraft around 35,000km from the Maxwell gap - close enough to generate images 5 pixels across of ~1km-sized objects in the outer "A" ring (if you know where to look...)
