Seger Yu posted three new images from Yutu 2 from May/June 2023 showing the exploration of a crater. I've attached one here.

The same Seger Yu posted a panorama in four segments here:

I put it together and made a circular view of it:

The closeup gives a good view of the tracks. This is on 19 September 2023, the end of lunar day 59, the same place where the latest map ends.

Today, Jan. 3rd, is the 5th anniversary of the landing of Chang'e 4 and the deployment of Yutu 2.

This link is to a newly-released LRO NAC image showing Yutu 2 on 12 September 2023, late morning on lunar day 59.

Here is a detail of it on my last map of the traverse:

The shadow lies to the south of the rover.

I have the feeling that the rover is only able to make one drive in the lunar morning and one in the afternoon at the moment, resulting in very slow progress over the past year. This is not because of any limitation of the rover (I think), but because Queqiao is very low on fuel and difficult to use effectively. China will launch its replacement as early as next month.
