Worth noting - it wasn't a failure of Orion's parachute system. It was a failure of one of the parachutes needed to set the drop up ready to deploy Orions parachutes in a flight analogous way.
This is why I'm not so eager to go skydiving.
You'd be fine until the last few centimetres.
