Sol 068 Crater Colour Pan, 1 x 10 frames

L256 here - desperately tried to match colours to make it 2 x 20 frames, but it just wasnt happeneing.

I'll try and do 2 x 8 or so in just L6 later.

I'm curious about what the JPL guys/galls make of it. The heatshield now looks like a really bad photoshop biggrin.gif

Any explanation for the blue colour of the heatshield? I combined 3 pics from SOL 69 and got this:

I bet it's not blue at all - its a color calibration issue. Most likely it is actually greyish.

Worth the wait? Sure, but I don't really see anything scientifically interesting in this crater besides some very nice looking dunes. However, the forms do appear to occur in "layers" with bright dust/sand mixed with basaltic ejecta near the rim, dark ripples along the walls, and bright dunes on the floor.
