Streaming video from the control room will start at 3am JST (GMT+9). Last time the JAXA blog had been overloaded due to high traffice demand. I believe they have upgraded the web server, but it might be a good idea to make a sort of "mirror sites". Volunteers? The stream video starts at 1:00 pm in New York, 6:00 pm in London. The climax would be around 6:00-8:00 am JSP (4:00 pm-6:00 pm in New York). Hope the Japanese food will serve us at TV video time like the following picture Rodolfo |

BTW, the link between Minerva and Hayabusa was lost after 18h of communication, but it could be due to a bad orientation of the antenna. They are trying to re-establish contact. Since it is their last attempt, they could perhaps shoot both remaining projectiles, with a little time gap between each shot, to increase the volume of regolith collected?

and speaking of projectiles here is a photo of the projectile and it's launcher (or gun).
(Is that a pack of cigarettes? Funny that the brand name is Caster, right next to the projectile casting device.) This blogger guy is my favorite person at JAXA. These blogs have been a flood of information and background on Hayabusa. Anyone know his name? I see he's back up to four bottles again.
