Scientists Discover 10th Planet's Moon

Two notes from this discovery:
1. The discovery of this moon allows us to estimate the mass/density of the moon and see how it compares with Pluto and other objects in the Kuiper belt. 2. As the article mentions, now 3 of the 4 largest objects in the Kuiper belt (2003 UB313, Pluto, and 2003 EL61) all have moons. Moon formation seems to be a common process in the Kuiper belt. |

I don't know if the term to "ToSeek" is familiar to the members of this board, but this is a good example of ToSeeking.
This subject is already discussed in another thread.

I hope it won't seem snarky to remark that this subject seems to be misplaced in both of its threads; as the relevant observations are via ground-based telescope, it is neither appropriate to "Space Based Observing" or "Cometary and Asteroid Missions" and is strictly outside the realm of "spaceflight" altogether.
