Good morning, my name is Leo Bister. I am the Opportunity flight director today. Today is sol 37 for Opportunity. We are still in the crater where we landed. It was very good fortune to land in this crater. There is an outcrop of rocks which we have been studying for the last several days. We are in a place in the outcrop called El Capitan and at El Capitan we made two holes in some rock there with our Rock Abrasion Tool and we have been studying those for the last several days.
Today we are going to take one last look. We have kind of backed away from those two holes. We have done some remote sensing. We will take one last look and then we are on the road again. We are going to be kind of moving along the outcrop to go to some other places. The place we have in mind we have called Last Chance and we will be doing some science at a place called Big Bend, another interesting spot on the outcrop. Today is sol 37 for Opportunity and as I speak it is about 6:30 in the morning.

Spirit has been busy driving towards Bonneville crater. They are currently about 130 meters on their way towards that crater which is about halfway there. They are at a spot appropriately called Middle Ground. And at Middle Ground they have come across a rock they have called Humphrey and Humphrey is a large rock which appears to have been ejected from Bonneville crater itself. They have dusted off a few areas and the plan is to RAT a section of that rock tomorrow and to do some more science there before heading on again to Bonneville crater.
Both rovers remain in excellent health. That’s it for now, have a great day.
