My short (~100 page) book on how we learned about how Earth's climate works, in parallel with learning about conditions on other worlds, is out on Createspace ( https://www.createspace.com/7184942 ), also on Amazon.com. An ebook is also available on Amazon (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073CC16ZZ ).
It is actually just part of the longer story of planetary exploration and Earth observation from space, which I expect to complete with an academic publisher next year, but I wanted to make the rather fun (mostly 19th-century) explorations of Earth, ocean, air and space, and the early understanding of radiative and convective heat transfer etc. available early in an affordable manner, since I had so much fun finding out about it myself. |
