Great job, Jan. I am very grateful to have these panoramas made after every drive.

Here is a circular version showing the drive to the west on sol 2586.

You're welcome Phil.

I love to make these panorama's and see how
Curiosity is finding her way between the rocks.
Thanks to the rover drivers for steering her

Great job.

Jan's panorama in circular form, showing a further drive around the bench at the base of the butte. I will update the map soon with this new position. Too busy on the Moon right now!

And another drive off the bench on sol 3590, heading towards Western butte? Or around Central...

I didn't understand where the 2590 location was or how we got there until I read the latest status report by Fred Calef, and now Jan's panorama illustrates it nicely. Curiosity had to back up to a good location to get off the 'bench' around Central butte, drive down the slope and then turn west again. Here is Jan's new panorama in circular form (the geometry vastly exaggerates any slope near the rover).

I made a GIF from NavCam pics of sol 2590 and it illustrates the drive you're referring to Phil.

MAHLI wheel check on sol 2592, looks to my ageing eyes that the drive algorithms and selection of safer paths are continuing to keep the grouser breaks down.

I've created this reduced size MAHLI animation using 20 frames (acquired before and after the 4 x ~30 cm drives) that imaged the tyres on each of these 4 wheels. The accompanying MastCams were not yet available for the other 2 wheels when I created this GIF
