It sure is. I am very pleased at how that turned out! I was wondering if Europa's location would be warped due to Jupiter's atmosphere, a la the setting sun. But it turned out wonderful!
John, again, I want to thank you for the opportunity to contribute! -------------------- Space Enthusiast Richard Hendricks

Great Pictures!
The movie with the knots following Adrastea was definitely my favorite. All pictures and movies from the briefing are here http://pluto.jhuapl.edu/news_center/news/0...essGraphics.htm |

Jason (or anybody else), can you identify which volcanic centers are glowing in the LEISA image they released? They only mentioned one by name in the catpion (Amirani/Maui).

Nice write up on the BBC News Site:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6613717.stm "Spacecraft returns Jupiter images" By Paul Rincon Science reporter, BBC News "New Horizons came within a few million km of the gas giant Nasa's New Horizons spacecraft has returned stunning views of the Jupiter system captured during a recent flyby. " Cheers Brian -------------------- "There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary code, and those who don't."

Sydney Morning Herald write up. Nice homage to the genius behind the image in that report: "Texan Richard Hendricks proposed shooting the unearthly moonrise, and the space agency agreed." |
