Hi all,

after a longer period during which I did not have that much time for my image works, I have now started to prepare a new web gallery with postprocessed and artificially colorized detail views of the MRO orbiter cameras.

The color & lightning processing of those images doesn't make a particular claim for physical accurateness but is rather meant as mere "artists impression" of the subjective "mars mood" of what I associate/envision with those those scenes as "my mars" smile.gif

Here is the first batch of images (click for larger resolution):

A fitting tribute to the power of HiRise (not to mention your own artistic powers!). Like someone else said already, keep them coming.

The only word that really fits is "exquisite". Truly remarkable work; thanks!!! smile.gif

Somehow "artist" just isn't a good enough word here. Would one of you Englishman please invent a stronger English word to describe Bernhard and his talents.?

limner

Main Entry: limn
Pronunciation: \ˈlim\
Etymology: Middle English limnen to illuminate (a manuscript), probably back-formation from lymnour illuminator, alteration of lumenur, from Anglo-French aluminer, enluminer to illuminate, ultimately from Latin illuminare
Date: 1592

1 : to draw or paint on a surface
2 : to outline in clear sharp detail

— limn·er \ˈli-mər, ˈlim-nər\ noun
