 I've been working on a new McMurdo version recently as well. I noticed that it's been nearly a month since my last update! To sol 902 (91 pointings) - full resolution version is available. But two pointings (about 30 degrees) from the horizon to the solar panels seems not enough, even if the rover is tilted and there is no hill. But I could be wrong. Analyst |

It may not seem like enough - but you can see for yourself in the images people have done, it clearly IS enough
The thing is on a slope as it is, so it's not suprising.Doug |

Updated colour 3D McMurdo pan
 846 raw images used to make this - I'm beginning to question my sanity!  Only quarter of the full resolution as overlaying and aligning two ~100Mpixel images is a bit of a challenge for my computer! - I'll wait for the final version and just do it once. I considered trying this out several months back but have become to occupied with the rad's. Like Living in the past

It's a strange 3D photo to look at because as you move towards the sides, your head has to start "tilting" like Spirit's pancam mast to keep the 3D effect!

Very good pano James
The 3D effect is great. I like particulary the left side of the pano. I agree Nico, we have the sensation to be ON Mars. Mars Exploration Rover, what a wonderfull mission

Some more SR images in the Pancam Super-Res project library...so I've found appropriate colour images to overlay the two.
these are twice the native pancam res, but half the res of the presented Super res images on the PC website - purely qualitatively, I think the improvement is about 50%...i.e. the resolving angular resolution has fallen by about a third. Doug
