Hey all,
I am a JPLer working toward improving the user experience of the Planetary Data System. As an interaction designer, my goal is to understand the breadth of the PDS user community. I'd like to speak to any and all willing community members about their experience using the PDS, and the ways it supports your goals as scientists, developers, students, hobbyists, and the like. I'm also interested in learning about ways it can continue to support your goals as we move forward. See our formal solicitation email quoted below.
Thanks, e.
Imagewizards, this is a terrific opportunity to help make the PDS the best it can be for us all. Please consider lending your time & expertise to this worthy project.
Bumping this topic. I have just been hired to co-chair the NASA Planetary Data Ecosystem Independent Review Board; I'm responsible for the "Searching" subcommittee but will also be working closely with the other four (especially Archiving and Utilization). I'm interested in hearing from EVERYONE what your challenges have been with finding and using data, and so on. Please respond to this request for information! https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/solicitations/summary.do?solId=%7bF0D635B2-C638-402B-862A-9D56320B4826%7d&path=&method=init
