I put all my processed imagery for PJ20 (pre-photoshop) onto a Google Drive share if anyone would like a stab at enhancing them: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1sFQm2wNfn...x7k3_b_APm8QyEA

I've created a couple Augmented Reality globes for PJ20, viewable with a device running iOS 12 or newer.
This uses Apple's AR Quick Look to display USDZ formatted objects. at http://www.mandelbits.com/arworlds.html |

That looks so great Brian, almost makes me wish I had Apple OS!
Kevin, thanks for sharing these 3D outputs, it's great to see your raws... can I ask what version of Blender you are using? The blend file doesn't open on version 2.79. -------------------- |

Beautiful work, Kevin. It looks like there's a spiral galaxy inside that storm near the pole!

In the meanwhile, I've compiled a PJ20 flyby. Here is a link to the Youtube version. Here MP4, scenes, and stills.
Those are illumination-adjusted with a 5th degree polynomial illumination function over 2 parameters, designed specifically for PJ20. Nevertheless, there are obvious shortcomings near the limb resulting in brightness fluctuations in the flyby movie by auto-exposure. I may eventually review this more globally, and derive a 3 parameter solution, but I can't spend too much time on this question in the very short run. Review will probably take place in a few weeks. |

Here is a list of links to more or less preliminary PJ20 renditions. Illumination adjustment of these renditions is based on PJ06.
Part 1: drafts, reprojections, gamma=4, maps, gamma=1, maps, gamma=4, maps of methane band image #20, gamma=1. Part 2: drafts, reprojections, gamma=4, maps, gamma=1, maps, gamma=4. Part 3: drafts, reprojections, gamma=4, also a zip of Obj files for selected reprojections of parts 1 and 2, maps, gamma=1, maps, gamma=4. Some more products are still work in progress, and I might eventually find time to review most of those renditions with a different illumination model / BRDF / phase function. See also John Roger's reports of PJ20 on the BAA website for some more derived products, comments, and annotations. |
