Hi all,
after a longer period during which I did not have that much time for my image works, I have now started to prepare a new web gallery with postprocessed and artificially colorized detail views of the MRO orbiter cameras.
The color & lightning processing of those images doesn't make a particular claim for physical accurateness but is rather meant as mere "artists impression" of the subjective "mars mood" of what I associate/envision with those those scenes as "my mars"
Here is the first batch of images (click for larger resolution):

Beautiful, beautiful stuff. I've saved them off to my hard drive.
Oh my! Those are just incredible!
And this is just a "first batch"? I'm glad you didn't post more at once, I don't think I could have taken falling off my chair again!
Wow!
Beautiful!
Just amazing - the deep shadows make you feel you're flying over this landscape - keep them coming :-)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Mars... On Mars.... On Mars...
I must say I realy like pictures 1,2,3,4,5,6,and 7.
I'm gona point your work to all my friends. Thanks Bernhard
Fabulous! I've loved your images in the past, but these are just incredible.
(Stu, how do we get to go there?)
Andy
A fitting tribute to the power of HiRise (not to mention your own artistic powers!). Like someone else said already, keep them coming.
Mars is really filmic.
The only word that really fits is "exquisite". Truly remarkable work; thanks!!!
OM *clink* G!
These are some great images Nirgal.
Somehow "artist" just isn't a good enough word here. Would one of you Englishman please invent a stronger English word to describe Bernhard and his talents.?
Just stunning!
Dear Nirgal...Obrigado!
AWESOME - the only thing I would ask for.... is the observation ID's so we can go and see more
Thanks for that, Bernhard! I definitely missing your colouring... gorgeous!
Do you even fancy doing your art on dust devil animations once? Too many complications or how about this one:
(sadly one distinctive DD is two-toned) http://greuti.ch/spirit/sol568ddcalib2.gif
This selection is really incredible, specially those ones with the long shadows!
Thank you all very much for the nice words that are much appreciated ... and keep me motivated for further work
There is still an infinitely vast "terapixel sea" of HiRISE PDS to browse and discover new fascinating detail views suitable for further processing and colorization
I forgot to mention: You can find the observation ID of the HiRISE source image in the file name of each image (just right click the thumbnail in the gallery and go to properties)
BTW.: In addition to the HiRISE images I have also done some work with CTX (MRO context imager) images that I'm going to post in the future (including some images that I already posted previously but are no loner available at the original URL because of a change of my web space provider)
Nirgal Sir,
that frosty dune looks like a Chinese ideogram....
Awesome does not cover it....
More please
