Looks like the streak spotted back in March is most likely a bit of a comet called Wiseman–Skiff. According to this article

Incredible. I am still awestruck at the pics of the dust devils. This all shows why long term missions are so important. Think of what we would have missed if the rovers had only lasted a few weeks.
