I recently went over some press releases and abstracts outlining the features of the layered rocks and outcrops at West Spur and Husband Hill. I thought people would find it useful to summarize all the Spirit rover findings concerning the layered units that have been presented over the past year. That was actually the easy part. The hard part was getting compiling some good photos to illustrate the various points.

So here you go: some text and lots of pretty pictures. Just click on the Layered Volcanics link on my homepage.

Thanks, guys. One of the main reasons I started the site was to compile the scientific results in a logical, concise manner so that current findings could be related back to previous findings. If the rovers continue to function for the next year (or two!!??), it'll be hard to remember where, say, Tetl is located.

Stay tuned for the sol 400 to 600 Spirit Front HazCam movie with the requisite cool Martian surf music, due out sometime this month!
