Nirgal, as usual yor colorized images are absolutely breathtaking
I'm impressed also by the very professional graphic layout, something very close to a magazine cover... I think that, even if close to perfection, the image can be made more readable. Hope you don't mind, I made the following modified version (including vignetting reduction)... wath do you think about? -------------------- I always think before posting! - Marco -

QUOTE (dilo @ Oct 12 2005, 10:50 PM) Nirgal, as usual yor colorized images are absolutely breathtaking I'm impressed also by the very professional graphic layout, something very close to a magazine cover... I think that, even if close to perfection, the image can be made more readable. Hope you don't mind, I made the following modified version (including vignetting reduction)... wath do you think about? thanks dilo ! I too was alread thinking of reducing the color contrast & saturation of the very strong reds to make it look more natural ... then left it to emphasize the "movie poster" look .... But now when I see your version I really also like the more natural look of it ... As for the vignetting correction: the only problem is the loss of some subtle details in the brightness variation of the sky (I don't have a solution to this either) ... however, in this case (i.e. without the need to take care of stitching seams) we could just leave it uncorrected (the vignetting even adds a more dramatic look to the sky so probably the ideal version would be with the desaturated colors but without the vignetting correction .... .. and while we are at it: Tman, how about adding one of your artificial suns ? (to complete the "movie poster" version ... unless it does not become too "hokey" then |
