Good morning, I’m Byron Jones and this is the Flight Director report for Wednesday, October 5th.

On Spirit, today is sol 624 and she just wrapped up a remote sensing and Moessbauer campaign over the weekend. And since then has been doing some short approach drives towards the new science target, Hillary.

On the other side of Mars, it’s sol 604 for Opportunity. We’ve been approaching Erebus Crater from the north for some time now and have just gotten close enough that we can start skirting around the western side looking for new science targets.

Well thanks for tuning in, I’m Byron Jones and that’s what’s happening on Mars today.
