Good morning, I’m Byron Jones and this is the Flight Director report for Tuesday, October 18th.
On Spirit, today is sol 637. And she finished up her work at the top of Husband Hill and the outcrop Hillary and is working her way down the descent of Husband Hill. And on the other side of Mars, for Opportunity, it’s sol 618. She has finished up a 24-meter drive yesterday and is in the process of planning about a 30-meter drive southwest around the rim of Erebus Crater, towards the rock target Payson and rolling over dunes and taking images of little craters dimpled throughout the rock outcrop along the way. Well that’s it for today, thanks for tuning in, I’m Byron Jones and that’s what’s happening on Mars today. |
