I think the rover will traverse any terrace, there are 2 more below, until approaching to Utreya before going to Home Plate. If you have visited the last post in Spirit Route Map where Tesheiner has posted last Spirit traverse and you will realice an approximate distance from now to Home Plate. Spirit's recent traverse map.
Just calculating with a good eye, the distance from now to HP would be around 150-180 meters. Someone have imaging tools that measure the distance with high precision (pixels/meters). My bet is that Spirit would be sniffing HP by January.... Rodolfo |
