Spirit is now almost at the bottom of Inner Basin.

Time to start a new topic.

Here is a 360 degree panoramic view taken with the L0 navcam on Sol 667.

QUOTE (OWW @ Nov 23 2005, 06:15 PM)

See the other topic : My WebpageGarbled Images - Pancam Problem?

The problem might be related to the script and the JPL is erasing them from the database.

Thanks guys,

I am in the process of restitching all the Navcam, Pancam and Mi images from Spirit and Opportunity.( with Autostitch and MichaelT's anti-vignetting program Tesheiner ).

That's how I found this one which I wanted to share with you.

Jvandriel, what do you mean exactly regarding restitching all images? Do you mean all your own stitched pans or completely all pans that both Rover have shot?

If you have in mind a complete collection of all pans blink.gif then you have to know they are already working on to stitch all calibrated pans in the MER Analyst's Notebook (I guess) ...As far as I can see they stitched all Spirit's Navcam pans until sol 90 so far.

Tman,

I know but the MER Analyst handbook is now on Sol 90, regarding the pano's, and Spirit is on Sol 671. smile.gif

I am on Sol 483 from the Navcam images of Spirit.

It will take years before all the images are stitched. The quality is better than the JPeg's I stitch but it's fun to do.

Here is a panoramic view from Sol 667 taken with the L0 navcam.

Tman, other than going into the Sol Summaries, I really haven't used the Analyst's Notebook a lot. Where do I find the panoramas?.........And, yes indeed, keep those panoramas coming, jvandriel!

Aldo, as far as I can see the pans are available only in the Search mode: http://anserver1.eprsl.wustl.edu/anteam/mera/mera_search.htm

You have to choose an Instrument and leave "All" in "Product Category" - for example test sol 90 and Navcam only.

FYI, there seems to be a 360ºx45º fov pancam mosaic (27x3 pancam L256R27) being taken:
---
672 p2260.05 60 0 0 60 8 128 pancam_Seminole_pan_cols20_23_L256R27
672 p2261.05 60 0 0 60 8 128 pancam_Seminole_pan_cols24_27_L256R27
673 p2262.05 60 0 0 60 8 128 pancam_Seminole_pan_cols1_4_L256R27
---

Those are the planned sequences for the time being, covering about 160º.
Stay tuned.

For pans, go to Notebook Navigator:

http://anserver1.eprsl.wustl.edu/anteam/mera/mera.htm (for Spirit)

You can list them by sol, site or instrument. I usually go by sol. Choose a sol, then a camera, then a pan. A thumbnail appears at right, click to download the full pan. Some polar versions are available as well. But it's not been updated for over a year.

Thanks for the tip, Phil. Some great images there. Have a look at this Opportunity panorama from sol 102. It nicely shows a linear depression similar to Anatolia in the far right of the panorama.
