Spirit is now almost at the bottom of Inner Basin.

Time to start a new topic.

Here is a 360 degree panoramic view taken with the L0 navcam on Sol 667.

Try this: http://207.7.139.5/mars/spirit/micro_image...W6P2900M1M1.JPG

It's a view from Spirit's MI in the stowed position.

I wouldn't be affraid.
It simply looks like they are taking some reference engineering data from Spirit.

Agreed. No need to panic yet. ... Although I think I smell another Purgatory-like delay coming up, at least with Oppy.

they may be checking the same view from Spirit and/or seeing if the same command sequence generates the same results.

Engineering Team Debugger : Here is the command sequence that stowed Oppy's arm. Let's see if it will stow Spirit's IDD also blink.gif

I've finally managed to persuade my pan processing software to handle 360's.

Here's a sneak preview to wet you appetite:

Seminole, 1/8th resolution - I hope to have the full resolution (>23000 pixels wide!) for you soon if the stitching software and my computer can handle it. blink.gif (cross your fingers!)

Tosol (685) sequences looks like a re-run of the aborted drive on 683.
... but without any MI health check. smile.gif

Spirit drove about 14m SW on sol 685 (parallax measurements).
Expect some IDD work during the next days.
