Some really good news for European Mars exploration and ESA in general came today from the meeting of EU-ministers in Berlin. Besides the approval of the ExoMars mission, the first of the Aurora Programme, the ministers also agreed on an increased funding of ESA's research programmes. It is to increase by 2.5% annually over the next five years.

Alcatel Alenia Space starts the ExoMars mission design
http://www.alcatel.com/vpr/?body=http://ww...eKey/31012006uk This contract, worth about 13 million Euros, calls for one year mission design work up to the preliminary design review including the definition of the main system elements of the mission. EDIT : Wrong thread, I didn't noticed the dedicated ExoMars topic. |
