Hello,
I have a few question on the cover of the weekly magazine Aviation Week & Space Technology of 14th November 2005...
This shows the MER Spirit ontop of the Columbia Hills!

1. Does anyone know the NASA-JPL PIA... photonumber of that ?
2. Could someone provide me a scan of that cover please ?

Thx in advance!
Philip

Thanks Ustrax !
I just saw it for the first time today in our University's library and immediately posted this link without having the time to perform a Search on the forum ... so sorry for that blink.gif

Anyway, the timing might be right as I'm searching a " spectacular " image for the cover of the BIS monthly magazine " Spaceflight " which has been lacking covers related to Mars exploration ( just 2 in the past 6 years !!!! ) huh.gif
http://www.bis-spaceflight.com/publicA3.htm

I hope I can contact the 4 authors of this incredible image in order to get a very high resolution version and the go-ahead to use it ... I hpe so ...
Of course I would supply magazines to forum-members here wink.gif

That particular image is now an Aviation Week thing, it's not really ours anymore per-se.

I'm sure there's plenty of imagery around here that could suffice smile.gif

First, thanks to Philip and ALL for the generous comments

I will post the link again, in this thread shortly, after getting home from work.

You can GLADLY reprint the wide screen panorama image in BIS so long as image reprint credit goes to Aviation Week and the 4 authors. Thats how I got it onto APOD and elsewhere

thanks for the info

Philip

Here are a summary of links to online versions of the Spirit panorama and story (by Craig Covault) printed by Aviation Week (14 Nov 2005) and
reprinted by NASAWATCH and APOD.
You may reprint the panorama in "BIS Spaceflight" with credit to Aviation Week and the 4 authors. Please contact me for higher resolution or alternate versions.

Spaceflight is quite a fine publication and we would be honored for the panorama to appear therein
