Hmmm, very tempting.

Is there a song in this perhaps...wink.gif
I could put him: "Loosely in the Sky with Doug-the-man"

Nah! Now that's too much!

I came across this thread a few days ago. This looks to be quite a lot of fun. Astro0, I don't know if this would be too much trouble, considering the encroaching water. I can easily find or compose a different shot, so let me know if you would like something different. I was scanning through available images and came across this one.

I've always thought that prospecting on a virgin planet, where all of the good stuff had not already been harvested by previous generations of collectors would be a most amazing experience. When I spotted this picture of me panning for gold while on a recent trip to Alaska, it seemed to be the right one for me.

It has been nice to connect some faces with the people here...

Well, a rough preview?
It's been very nice knowing you all and sharing this passion for Mars.

(Doug will kill me over this unsure.gif )

Hey Nico,

If you make that image negative, you get a more authentic "Mars Look"

Tom:

At last! A picture of someone with a frying pan at the BBQ! Or is it the High-Gain Antenna, cruelly ripp'd asunder from poor ol' almost-hibernating Punxsutawney Bill, er Spirit?

And as for Doug - eh oh!

Bob: A single drop of grease in that pan would likely mess up my panning efficiency. biggrin.gif

Bill: Good idea. What we really need about now is a good mechanic on site. smile.gif

Dan: I'm certain Astro can arrange it, but do we really want to see it? cool.gif

I know there's still lots of UMSF'ers still to arrive via Photoshop transport beam...
AndyG, Marsloon, ExploitCorporations, ElkGroveDan, TheMessenger, Bill Harris and dvandorn (the other Doug).

Where's THE Doug? I hope that he won't be too late to the BBQ. After all he's the one who brought us all together in the first place.

I'm sure I'll figure out the timer on my camera so I can get in the picture too.
Enjoy

AstroO:

Just for fun, when the image is complete why not make an animated .gif to show the process of everyone arriving? It needn't be a big image.
