Regarding the outreach side of things, I spent years doing slide-shows on planetary exploration to anyone who'd watch - 'The exploration of Mars' and 'Voyager's Grand Tour' are still in my back catalogue, and an update or two are quite feasible. I keep meaning to turn them into PC-based presentations, rather than slide carousels...
...anyway, they'd certainly suit secondary schools / general public audiences, if that'd help The Cause! Sadly, I have almost no Spanish, bar a few spectacular curses courtesy of an insane Balearic lithographer! Despite the fact that my mum lives on the coast south of Granada 6 months of the year, my Spanish is utterly non existant

QUOTE (djellison @ Dec 29 2005, 12:59 AM) Despite the fact that my mum lives on the coast south of Granada 6 months of the year... Speaking of Granada, there's an upcoming Mars atmosphere workshop being held there. Maybe it's time to visit mum, or at least crash at her flat/villa/palace |

O.K. it looks like Valencia will be it ... Beginning October 2006!
Some questions: 1. Who already knows now he/she will participate ? 2. Could we combine that visit to Spain with a visit to the DNS near Madrid ( some 400 kilometers away from Valencia ? ) |

With over 2000 views of this topic, response is low ...
I would be able to apply and would like a visit to the DNS installations! |

I'm only interested if it is in combination with the Antenna site visit near Madrid in the case I would be present only for that part of the meeting.

The (free) tri-monthly ESA publication ' ESA Bulletin ' issue of November 2005 N° 124 has, besides excellent articles on Venus Express, an interesting article on ESA's new Antenna ground Station in Cebreros, near Avila in Spain. It says ESA is planning to build a third 35-meter deep space antenna sited at an American longitude... ( 2nd is in New Norcia ).
By The Way where are we on the forum meeting issue |

I found the following link, which may assist some of us with Valencia in October - reminds me that it's time to rethink my OU plans!
