I don't know if it's been mentioned here or not, but there is an upcoming Mars Water Workshop, which will held at NASA Ames on February 23-24, 2006.

I don't know if anyone noticed but most of the abstracts are now online.

Website down atm, but will try later. Looking at the big pdf map one can see so many places to go, and only one MSL - could use 4 and still have to make hard choices, the rover could only cover one tiny dot on this map.

Yes, I see that. Interesting. FWIW, I downloaded the abstracts earlier today directly from http://es.ucsc.edu/~fnimmo/website/abstracts. So you might want to check that directory as soon as the website comes back up.
