When I started this post, I didn't know the date of conjuction (Sept. 15th) so I thought it was sooner than that.

Does anyone know 'for how long' or 'if' we will lose contact with the rovers? I know a recent article stated that they were looking for a spot to 'hibernate' the rovers until Martian spring. It will be sad to not have new images, even on a weekly basis.

Also, Spirit lies in a relatively 'busy' area for dust devils...and at one point early on they were going to specifically search for them, but I've not heard if they did or didn't, nor if they plan to in the future at any point. Looking at the overhead shot, when Spirit does start climbing the hill, it should be able to turn around and spot a dust devil at some point.
