Greetings,
Excitement builds with each sol as Spirit gets to the hills and Oppy drives into the crater. I am checking the Exploratorioum site almost hourly now during the expected times when new images appear. This just in from Spirit: What is happening there? Looks like a very complex set of movements to place the rover over a target, which seems to be the small light coloured rock poking from the ground. I've already been thinking if the light coloured rock could be outcrop. It seemed to appear in navcam images when Spirit got to the base of the hill. If I use my imagination, I can just see very weathered layering in that. More likely it is just other rock surface though... antti -------------------- Antti Kuosmanen
