Assuming a sufficient number of images is available, there are also some people here who love using images to make texture maps and shape models/triangle meshes that can then be used as input to 3D rendering programs. To do this photometric parameters usually have to be determined

Next time ask the dr to take two 3d images a few cm apart and someone here can turn them into an anaglyph!
