QUOTE With the 30-minute drive on Sol 807 (May 1, 2006), the rover was estimated to be 1,279 meters (less than eight-tenths of a mile) from Victoria – and was finally, barely, able to see its rim. Boy, when were we (thanks Dilo) seeing the rim in vertically stretched pancams? Sol 790? |

Boy, when were we (thanks Dilo) seeing the rim in vertically stretched pancams? Sol 790? First peek at the rim was sol 776 or so, but it wasn't obvious until sol 787 I think. In fact, jpl's own ID of Victoria here was for sol 804! I wonder where that sol 807 figure came from. |
