This is probably off-topic since it technically does not fall under "Space-Based Observing."
Having said that, however, while noting Emily's latest blog entry about Pan-STARRS, I saw some bad news for the Outrigger project. |

A new article today at SpaceDaily describing the optics for Pan-STARRS and the special construction technique they used on the chip to get good images.
