Bruce Banerdt, project scientist for the mission, said team members were looking forward to collecting more science data as a result of having more electrical power. NASA recently agreed to extend the Mars Exploration Rover mission for another year starting in October.

Hey, I lost these news too.
Great to know about this new mission extension! If Spirit doesn't had that stuck wheel... BTW, welcome back climber. |

Thanks Eduardo, both of us nearly back at the same time and ready for another extension year! BTW and IIRC, I thought that the last time the mission has been extended was (already) up to October 2007, but anyway, even if it's a confirmation, I buy it! -------------------- |
