Updated version (red for promontories, blue for main gullys/ramps): Castor Man that's a scary place!... If this is correct looks like we may be heading towards Cabo Verde...: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/ustrax3/cvcf2.jpg EDITED: Now lookin at it Cabo Frio may be on the far right of the image... -------------------- "Ride, boldly ride," The shade replied, "If you seek for Eldorado!"

EDITED: Now lookin at it Cabo Frio may be on the far right of the image... Don't think so, it should be on the right and closer to us but picts has not yet been downloaded. BTW, Ustrax, I'm like you and I don't see what Doug's say it's on the rim of the crater. I may be wrong, it looks like "something" in sitting on the plain. Does somebody has figured out the actual distance to the rim ? Edited : yep, may be I see what Doug's saying. -------------------- |

What is that object to the left of the crater rim? -------------------- "After having some business dealings with men, I am occasionally chagrined,
and feel as if I had done some wrong, and it is hard to forget the ugly circumstance. I see that such intercourse long continued would make one thoroughly prosaic, hard, and coarse. But the longest intercourse with Nature, though in her rudest moods, does not thus harden and make coarse. A hard, sensible man whom we liken to a rock is indeed much harder than a rock. From hard, coarse, insensible men with whom I have no sympathy, I go to commune with the rocks, whose hearts are comparatively soft." - Henry David Thoreau, November 15, 1853 |
